GLOBAL ACCESSIBILITY DAY
Now, four years after, Global Accessibility Awareness Day is being marked on third Thursday of May.
Project Starfish is thrilled to take part in celebrating this important global movement. In honor of the Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we will be organizing a chain of events, which will start on May 21st 2015 at 9 AM EDT and conclude the same day at 9 PM EDT. We will be hosting a number of guests, such as Michael Curran, Executive Director of NV Access Limited, Kim Charlson, first woman president of the American Council of the Blind, Alex Hall, member of Apple Vis Editorial Team; we will as well be having guests from Google, who will be discussing the current condition of the accessibility of Google products and the ways of their improvement and honored guests from National Federation of the Blind, who will be holding a presentation of this global organization. The main event of the day will be the round table at 7 PM EDT, where we will be discussing the future of accessibility with our honored guests. All the events will be held on the free conference line, numbers are 1-559 726 1300 and the access code will be code 926093#. All events will be live streamed. In case of not being able to attend the events, you will have a possibility of listening them afterwards.
